The Usherwood Adventures Setting Sourceweb©

What's a 'Sourceweb'?
The answer is simple. While some publishers have the luxury of distributing their campaign settings in a grand hardbound, printed volume -- many of which can approach 300-400 color-filled pages -- the expense of this falls outside the ability of most small publishers. Yours Truly is not an exception. It came to my attention that in order to provide the volume of information I desired, in the quality I required for a printed product, it would become unlikely any of you out there would invest your hard earned cash to purchase such a product. (Anyone ready to part with an estimated $80 USD for a campaign setting sourcebook? I didn't think so.)

Therefore, I made the decision that not only would I provide the entire campaign setting source materials on the Usherwood Adventures website, but that the campaign setting in its entirity would be available to you, free of charge. Additionally, some free modules, utilities, and other freebie-stuff will be provided in the Downloads section. Also, you'll find links to premium modules that can be purchased either as hardcopy POD, or dowloadable PDF.

The Sub-sections of the Sourceweb

At the top of each page, you'll find links to the following pages;

dar Origo Liber
dar Origo Liber (The Book of Origins) is the Setting Sourceweb itself. In this section, you will find descriptions of all the (known) history, geography, civilizations, pantheons, creatures, and magic that exist upon the continent of Verme. There are of course several other continents upon the world of Besh where the campaign materials are set upon. But these continents will only be briefly discussed here, and may be defined in greater detail at a later time.

The Downloads section will contain all of our freebie items; game utilities, modules, and more. We'll post your First Edition and OSRIC-related items here for you. Just let us know what you've got, and we'll see where it fits in.

Featured Artist(s)

The Setting Sourceweb utilizes the artistic talents of several RPG artists, as well as repurposing numerous historical artistic pieces that fall within the Public Domain. I have included an End Notes section that details the soure of each of these pieces where available.

Peter Szmer; It has been my good fortune to acquire the services of this very talented artist from England. You can view Peter's online gallery at http://graphcraft.deviantart.com/. My experience working with Peter has been nothing short of impressive. He is able to both accept art direction correctly, as well provide substantive creative solutions himself. I can recommend Peter to other publishers looking to enlist new talent with the full confidence of my personal/proffesional experience working with him.
